Trouble-shooting

If you have problems in connecting Mind Render and LEGO^®SPIKE^TM, try the following.

Q: I got an error “TypeError: can’t convert 〜” in the console and they don’t work properly.

SPIKE^TM may not be working properly; restart SPIKE^TM and try again.

Q: SPIKE Hub OS is already updated, but it asks me to update the OS.

SPIKE^TM may not be working properly; restart SPIKE^TM and try again.

Q: The power button on the SPIKE hub does not respond when I press it.

Disconnect the USB cable, remove the battery from the SPIKE^TM hub, and reattach it and it will boot up again.

Q: The SPIKE device name in Mind Render does not change.

Switching between “SPIKE with Block” and “SPIKE with Python” programs may not immediately change the SPIKE^TM name on Mind Render. If this is the case, please wait a moment before searching for the device.
The name may also appear as “SPIKE,” but there is no problem with the operation.
